Applications: Primary used for polymer analysis.  Samples are thermal extraction directly into the GC column. Volatiles and semi-volatiles organics are separation by GC and identification by MS.

Applications: Polymer identification by Pyrolysis. Samples are heated within the pyrolysis furnace up to 950C. Pyrolysis products are transferred directly into the injection port for separation by GC and identification by MS.
