Image Analysis Laboratory
General Laboratory Description
Our image analysis laboratory is set up for light microscopy and macro viewing of prints or negatives. The light microscope is capable of autostage movement with autofocus cabability. A thermal printer connected to the video camera is used for quick prints.
Our Advanced Image Analysis System is by ContextVision of Sweden and is installed with ContextVision_s MicroGOP software. This advanced image analysis system is basically a mini-supercomputer with pipeline and parallel processing. A Sun3E computer with an UNIX operating system is used as the interface to the imaging system.
