Colloids
In 1972 the International Union for Pure and Applied
Chemistry (IUPAC) proposed to reserve the word ‘colloid’ for objects in which
“at least one of the dimensions lies between 1nm and 1 000 nm.”
Examples:fog, water-based paints, milk and mayonnaise.
