The Society
of Plastics Engineers (SPE) is a leading international organization dedicated
to the advancement of knowledge and education for all plastics professionals.
Founded in 1942, today SPE is home to more than 20,000 plastics professionals
in the United States and more than 70 countries around the world.
A student chapter of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) was founded at IMS in 1981. The student chapter organizes various activities including research group seminar series, student seminar series, plant tours, taking part in CPTV's Family Science Expo and organizing refreshments and audio-visual for the polymer program seminar series (thanks to the generous donation of the polymer program).
