Representative from each research groups in the polymer program present their group research in front of faculties, existing and newly joined students in the program. This generally helps newly joined students in the polymer program to choose their preferred research group for the upcoming studies.
22 students from polymer program has got the opportunity to experience how golf balls are made in industry by visiting the technical facilities of Top Flite, one of the leaders in the golf ball manufacturer. A technical discussion followed by the tour helped students to know more about the technology behind the golf ball manufacturing and productions. Western New England section of SPE generously provide dinner to all the students for free of cost.
Students in the higher stages of their PhD program (3rd-5th yr) present their research in front of faculties and students of polymer program. This is a wonderful opportunity for the senior students to practice research presentations in a homely atmosphere while junior students can feel the depth of researches going on in the polymer program.
